It was how solid everything felt.

The plastic has enough flex to absorb impacts without feeling cheap. The suspension arms don’t feel brittle, the chassis has very little unwanted flex, and the oil-filled shocks actually do their job instead of simply bouncing the car around.

Pavement

On clean asphalt, the Hyper Go feels planted and predictable. Steering response is sharp without feeling twitchy, and the brushless power comes on smoothly enough that you can confidently control it even at higher speeds.

Long sweeping turns are surprisingly satisfying, especially once you get comfortable with the throttle.

Gravel

This is where I probably had the most fun.

The rear rotates predictably, controlled slides are easy to learn, and every pull of the trigger sends tiny rocks flying behind the car. Before I knew it, I’d spent almost an hour driving around an empty gravel lot.

I also think this surface shows off the suspension better than anywhere else.

Grass

Short grass isn’t much of a challenge.

Naturally, taller grass slows the car down, but that’s true for almost every RC in this category. The suspension continues to do an excellent job keeping all four wheels planted while maintaining good stability.

Dirt Trails

If I could choose only one place to drive the Hyper Go, it’d probably be loose dirt trails.

The suspension soaks up bumps surprisingly well, the chassis stays composed over uneven terrain, and even small jumps feel controlled instead of chaotic.

Fast RC cars are easy to find.

I rolled it more times than I’d like to admit.
